Before serving SM Renergy as MD, Mr. Swamy held many key positions in different organizations. He started his career as the Manager – Food and Nutritional Services at Florida Medical Center, Ft. Lauderdale, USA. He then worked in various capacities including as Vice President at Venkateswara Hatcheries Limited and Consultant – Shrimp Seed Production and Management Expert to UN FAO. He is also the MD of Santir Aquatic Pvt. Ltd.
There are many organizations in the country that have benefited immensely from his association and knowledge. Mr. Swamy has served as Founder President, All India Shrimp Hatcheries Association (AISHA) and as a member of many government organizations and departments including Marine Products Export Development Authority, Ministry of Commerce; Governing Council – National Fisheries Development Board, Ministry of Agriculture; Research Advisory Committee (RAC) – Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture, Indian Council for Agricultural Research, Ministry of Agriculture; Board of Management – Central Institute of Fisheries Education; Ocean Science & Technology Cell, Ministry of Ocean Development; Marine Products Export Development Authority, Ministry of Commerce; Sustainable Aquaculture-Department of Fisheries, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
He has also served as Technical Member to the Aquaculture Authority of India, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Mr. Swamy is committed to adopting good corporate governance that promotes the long-term interests of all stakeholders, creates self-accountability in the management and helps build trust in the company. He also takes steps to review and realign the company’s strategy to ensure that they adequately address changing market trends, best practices, and legislative requirements to help the organization achieve its evolving objectives.
